Montview parents are essential as contributing members of our school
community. Parents enrich our school with their ideas, interests,
talents, and resources. One of the most valuable roles that
parents fulfill is that of "helping parent" in their child's
classroom, which happens approximately every four to six weeks. Our
experience shows us that:
- Parents helping in the classroom provide
practical assistance to the teacher thereby increasing the
effectiveness of the teacher.
- Parents gain valuable insights from
being with their child and their child's peers in the school setting.

Parent participation is required in various
areas including an orientation meeting, field trips, classroom set-up, and
classroom clean-up days. In addition, all parents have a committee
assignment and are expected to participate in the school's two major
fundraisers. Finally, the parent board oversees administration and
fundraising.
